Common Questions
Treatment duration varies widely depending on complexity and treatment type. Simple corrections with clear aligners may take 6–12 months, while complex cases with braces can take 24–36 months. Dr. Singh will give you an accurate timeline during your consultation.
Most patients experience some discomfort for a few days after each adjustment or new aligner tray — this is normal and a sign that your teeth are moving. Over-the-counter pain relief is usually sufficient. Modern brackets and wires are much gentler than older systems.
The Indian Orthodontic Society recommends an evaluation by age 7. However, treatment is effective at any age. Dr. Singh treats children, teenagers, and adults — it is never too late to achieve a great smile.
For mild to moderate cases, clear aligners are equally effective as traditional braces. For complex cases involving significant rotation or skeletal issues, traditional or lingual braces may be more appropriate. Dr. Singh will recommend the best option for you.
